Rising to Fame
Sheree made her television debut in the 1996 Christmas special of Only Fools and Horses, where she played a female mugger in the episode “Heroes and Villains.” However, her big break came when she joined Emmerdale in 1998 as the vivacious Tricia Dingle.
Tricia quickly became a central figure in the Yorkshire village, known for her romantic escapades and eventual relationship with Marlon Dingle, portrayed by Mark Charnock. The couple’s on-screen wedding in 2003 was a fan-favorite moment, but their love story turned tragic when Tricia left to star in a Bollywood film. Upon her return, she discovered Marlon’s affair with a distant cousin.
In a heartbreaking twist, Tricia was caught in a devastating storm that destroyed the Woolpack pub, leading to her character’s death after being declared brain dead and suffering a cardiac arrest. Sheree exited Emmerdale in 2004, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
Life Beyond the Woolpack
Sheree’s real life has been far less tumultuous than her time on Emmerdale. Now a proud mother of four, she shares children Taylor, Ruby, Matilda, and Doll with her husband, former professional footballer Harry Kewell. The couple met in 2000 at the Majestyk nightclub in Leeds during Sheree’s tenure on Emmerdale. Their whirlwind romance led to a spontaneous Las Vegas wedding in May 2002.
After stepping back from acting to focus on raising her family, Sheree made a brief return to the screen, appearing in The Royal before taking on the role of Eva Strong in Hollyoaks.
Reality TV and Presenting
Sheree ventured into reality television in 2005 when she participated in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! She charmed audiences and finished as runner-up to Carol Thatcher. Her success on the show opened doors to a career in presenting, including co-hosting episodes of This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield.
In addition to her TV work, Sheree is set to return to screens on Christmas Eve, joining fellow soap legends for The Great Christmas Bake Off on Channel 4.
A Picture-Perfect Life
Today, Sheree balances her thriving family life with occasional TV appearances, far removed from the drama-filled days of Tricia Dingle. Her journey from a soap star to a devoted mother and versatile television personality continues to inspire fans.
